Mmm bacon flavored beer
Bacon is very good when it is prepared correctly: thick slices done until crispy... this can be fried but other methods (baking and microwaving) actually work better with less mess.
(Beer is good too, especially ales. I brew my own occasionally.)

Not even a little bit. 'Bacon' is the worst, possible, form of life giving, pork fat on the planet. It's like tough Spam, but it doesn't taste that good.

If you like bacon get the Oscar Meyer Super thick cut apple wood bacon. It only has like 9 slices in the package but it is hands down the best I have had. And I consider myself a bacon connoisseur

Please ignore the insane prices on that site. I buy mine at the grocery store, one 8-ounce package at a time. I like the Maple cured the best.

I love bacon - especially crumbles on salad, they add just the right touch of salty-savory taste. With eggs for breakfast is great, too. Don't like the smell of cheap maple bacon, it smells like chemicals to me. Love the smell of the real stuff, though.

Otherwise, for home, a great quality thick sliced bacon like Alexander & Hornung. Smithfield bacon I grew suspicious of when the fat that rendered off never solidified -- that was just weird and un-natural.

I l-o-v-e bacon. "L" is for the way it looks today. "O" is for the only one I eat. "V" is very, very extra tasty. "E" is even more than any bacon had before.

I wouldn't eat it alone, but I love it with eggs, or on a hamburger. Not sure why. It's almost like it's a condiment.
Bacon cooked in a nice heavy stout, and then some eggs fried in the fatty awesomesauce that remains.
