Who holds the record for most Bags of Crap snagged?

It took me a year and a half to nab my first Bag of Crap, and I haven't gotten one since--so something tells me I won't be hearing from Guinness World Records anytime soon. How many have you won, and who has the most? And out of all that Random Crap, were you lucky enough to get something truly good?

It's been almost a year since my solo BOC snag, and I'm still patting myself on the back over it. That is, when I'm not curled into the fetal position sobbing every time I fail to get another.

I think I've gotten 6 or so. By far the best item I've gotten was a brand new, in original package 64Gig Kingston flashdrive. I've gotten a number of varying Sansas (mostly working) and a bunch of other fun/awesome/crappy stuff.

I've gotten 7, but that includes the "Random Crap: 2008 Calendar Edition" (http://www.woot.com/Blog/ViewEntry.aspx?Id=3672), so really 6. But then there was the surprise one that Black Boxers got back in the day. And once I got a BOC with only 2 craps, not 3. When I contacted customer service they sent a whole new box.

So I guess that's about 7.5 BOCs.

The best thing I've ever gotten is probably a BROKEN Invisio G5 Bluetooth Headset (Like this one: http://www.woot.com/blog/viewentry.aspx?id=9126). After that it might be a tie between a handful of Sansa charging cables (I do not own a Sansa) and some fleece iPod (pre iPod touch - the ones with the wheel) protectors.

Yes, that's right - I've gotten more than 7 BOC's and never gotten anything good. So take solace in that, those of you who have yet to bag a Bag O' Crap.

honestly, it comes down to luck. i just happened to be in the right place at the right time. that, and an army of gerbils hitting F5 for me.

@carl669: does anyone notice that if you catch the BOCs right around midnight (CT) it seems pretty fast then about 5 minutes in, it's slow as molasses? i've been stuck in that molasses stage everytime, except this last time

did someone hear banjos?

@w00tgurl: I haven't noticed that. From my experience the servers often start getting laggy a minute or so /before/ the BOC comes up because of the hordes pressing [F5] repeatedly.

But when they do games like they did this last time it seems to help a little. At least they don't sell out in 10 seconds.

i think if you hit the server at the exact right time, your order just flies right through. i've gotten orders through in less than 15 seconds while other people in my office were hitting the molasses stage.

speaking of which, now i want molasses cookies. damn you w00tgurl!

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
