Can someone help me figure this out?
I posted a deal last night for a Boston album for $1.29. When I submitted the post I didn't realize it had a free tag. So I commented on the post and asked @jumbowoot why it was given a free tag (before I realized it was the default tag which was incorrect). When I woke up this morning I saw the post was still there with the free tag. Instead of bothering another mod I expired the deal and reposted it with the appropriate tags. The deal was good and a lot of people seemed to jump on it right away. When a mod found the deal they removed the front page deal and un-expired my original deal.
What was the point of that? There are going to be VERY few people who will be able to take advantage of the original deal since it is no longer easily accessible. Why not just leave it alone? That would have been best for the community. And isn't that the point of having your "fans" find deals?
Why is it when you feel like you are doing right by woot! they take the wind right out of your sails?
