Is there a Moth in the Relay? Or, Why do Some RIPed Deals Escape the Advanced Search Filter?
I've noticed something odd with the Advanced Search: sometimes RIPed deals wind up in the search results when the "Include Expired Deals" box is unchecked.
See for example http://deals.woot.com/deals/search?q=store%3Acrowdsavings.com+-is%3Aexpired
Or type into the search box: store:crowdsavings.com -is:expired
We get 30 search results (as I write this anyway), the first 14 of which are dead. If you take the filter off, we get 1,232 deals. The DB seems to know that the deals are dead, since the hypertext processing engine knows to specify the RIP graphic. So I suspect the search engine.
Anyone want to go bug hunting? @shawnmiller? @josefresno? @gracehopper?

@heymo: I love you for the @gracehopper. Thanks for starting off my day with a big smile (although reading the comments on @snapster's goofy deal and all the closet crazies that have commented also helped).
:-D
Please please please, dearest staff moderators, leave the #gracehopper tag there.
@shrdlu: Thanks for noticing (and advocating for) the tag!
doesn't the page have to be inside a regular comment, not the description part?
@shawnmiller? @josefresno? @gracehopper
i hope #gracehopper comes through and fixes this!
