I have five so far and I am getting the next part of my sleeve on my right arm done this month. Love them, can't wait to have more.

@mommyleah: That will probably be my next and last one as well. Can't do the back of the hand, trying to figure out a appropriate location so my clothing still covers it at work.

I'm waiting for my mid-life crisis to get a Tri-Force Tattoo :)

I have 3 tattoos, all designed by and one just tweaked by me, each shoulder and a larger one between my shoulder blades. I really should take pictures some time. One is tribal sun, one is more like a circuitboard illuminati, and one is... I dunno the style. I used my french curves pretty liberally. It's the larger one.

I have 4 as well. I'll probably end up with more, and if one day I really regret them, I guess I'll at least be happy that my tattoos are my biggest concern. Must mean I did something else right. But for now I still like 'em all :)

My first is a line from a song on my wrist, another is a line from a song that the lead singer wrote for me after a show one night (inside of my upper arm), another is an owl (between shoulder blades), and the last are some tribal Honu (green sea turtles) that I drew and had done when I was visiting the Big Island (Hawaii). I got the turtles done on my side and it was one of the more painful things I've been through. But that may have been the style the artist used..one big fat needle instead of a bundle of smaller needles.

Now I'll be easily identified should I ever commit a woot murder :O!

Yes. I have an eagle on my back, some custom blackwork on my thigh, and a Koi half-sleeve. More to come until I, at least, finish my sleeve and get more on my back.

I have your name on my ass!

I have 4: A Celtic fireball being held up by a Hawaiian warrior on my left shoulder and a tribal band with an ankh on my right.

I have 3. I have cloud's buster sword on my right calf, the cursed seal from naruto on my left shoulder, and a tribal dragon on my left bicep that my cousin and I got together. I know, big nerd.

@housry23: Maybe next you could get one of a REAL team.....;-] (I kid! I kid!)

Not yet. I will be getting at least 1 this summer. I want the "old school" Philadelphia Eagles logo first, but am not sure exactly where I want it.

@cindihoward: swelling is actually normal for the first day or so, every body reacts differently to getting tattooed. some redness is normal too (think about it, the skin's been drilled with a needle repeatedly, especially a "tender" area like the foot is going to show signs of such a procedure). But if after several days the swelling & irritation haven't gone down then yes, go to a doctor. If she went to a reputable shop to have the work done then cleanliness shouldn't be a worry. Just make sure she keeps it clean and moisturized. (And, yes, I've had enough ink done, as well as friends who are tattoo artists, to have some idea what I'm talking about).

No. I have nothing against them, I've just never been able to think of anything that I'd still want on my body when I'm old and gray.

@cindihoward: Is the swelling really red? You might have to take her to the doctor. She may have a bacterial infection and the doctor may need to drain fluids out. Monitor the swelling and elevate her foot. If the swelling does not go down, she needs to get that checked out.

Last night my beautiful 18 year old just used all her babysitting money to get a double flower tattoo covering almost the entire top of her right foot. I would never have signed for it, which is why she had to wait until she was 18 and could do it alone. She said it hurt really bad and her foot and ankle are extremely swollen. I have no idea how she is going to fit her pretty little foot into the beautiful silver sequinned pumps she bought for prom in two weeks. I honestly hope she will be able to wear shoes to school on Monday.

No. I don't like the same music I liked 20 years ago or the same books or the same hair style, et cetera. I've always been afraid I wouldn't like the tatoo after a few years.

I started to ask the same question last weekend, but did a search first and thought it would be too much like this one that I found.

I have none, but that's just because I can't afford anything right now. I already know some of the ones I want to get. First, on my right front shoulder, I'm getting the black knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail with no limbs and the caption of "I'M INVINCIBLE!!!" underneath. Next, I'm going to get the pistol Mal used in Firefly with the words "I aim to misbehave" as well. So far, those are the only two I've really decided on and I'm not 100% positive about those being exactly like that. I just hope I can put up with the discomfort, as I don't have a good pain threshold.

I have a bunch that I regret... I'm gonna get more and I'm sure I will regret those too!

I have a phoenix on my left shoulder blade.

Maybe it's the neighborhood .... ;+}
I don't think I know anybody with at least one tattoo and one piercing you can't see right away.
Some days it's a real PITA to goto the airport ...
