@drchops you still want to hang out? It's looking like we will be there most if not all Thursday.

go to that restaurant where they tell you the name of the chicken they're about to cook for you.

@kamikazeken: but then I have to see where it was raised and @cowboydann and I will have to become sister wives. Lets keep this to a causal one day or less event

Grow a brostache and act ironic. Try to identify stuff from the TV series Portlandia. Rent a full wetsuit with booties, gloves & hood and enjoy surfing. Take a side trip to Seattle.

And when you take the side trip to Seattle, be sure to check out the Fremont Troll.

Voodoo donuts and Powells books are two of my favorites. If you enjoy drinking beer there are a lot of breweries in the area. You can do a tour at Widmer over the weekend. The official Rogue and Deschutes breweries are actually outside of Portland but they have pubs you can visit in the city. If I remember correctly the Deschutes pub does brew just enough to sustain their pub in house. Chuck Palahniuk wrote a guide to Portland a while back that is pretty good that I highly recommend checking out to get ideas of things to do and places to visit.

Don't listen to @csunwold, Voodoo pales in comparison to our own Top Pot up here and besides there will be a frustratingly long line. THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO IN PORTLAND THAT YOU JUST CAN'T DO BETTER UP HERE except Powells, that's pretty awesome.

I would also like to add to @agingdragqueen's Voodoo Doughnut disdain. Just throw a Snickers bar on a glazed donut bought from the grocery store and get the same experience.

But I did think the rest of Portland was lovely and fun.

@agingdragqueen: Except live the life you've always dreamed. And drink at strip clubs.

If you are literate, you won't want to miss Powell's books. While in the area, check out the food carts. There is a spot a few blocks from Powell's that must have 50 of the dang things.

Oh, and about the show Portlandia? It's frighteningly accurate.

@agingdragqueen @slydon Haters to the left. Top pot is good but its not the same.

Also, more beer and more strippers in a more highly concentrated area than Seattle.

Lets have a Woot road trip and compare the two cities side by side. FOR SCIENCE!

@csunwold: I'M GONNA DOWNVOTE YOU TO OBLIVION
