@kmeltzer: I was thinking the very same thing. You beat me to it.

Sean Connery. "Nobody does it better; I feel sad for the rest." Even though Roger Moore did star in The Spy Who Loved Me. ;-)

Roger Moore was my first. But I enjoyed Pierce Brosnan very much; matter of fact, they're all great.

Sean Connery. While I wasn't thrilled with all of his entries into the series, I think he got it right more than any of the others. Goldfinger and From Russia With Love are absolute classics.

Craig, Dalton, and Brosnan (early Brosnan) come next.

Lazenby I think was more a victim of a poor plot and scripting on screen and a victim of his own ego off screen.

Moore...ugh. For Your Eyes Only and The Spy Who Loved Me were the only entries of his that I actually like. But I'll never forgive him for Live and Let Die or A View to a Kill. How the hell do you mess up a Bond movie with Christopher Walken as a villain?!

Brosnan was Bond all while I was young, so from the first time I was aware of James Bond through when Craig took over he was Bond to me, so I will always have a spot in my heart for that portrayal. Connery is classic, you have to like him. I have to say though he is a somewhat unconventional Bond I really like Craig, and honestly Casino Royale is probably my favorite Bond film of what I have seen, which, I must admit, does not encompass all of them.

Roger Moore, he seemed to have a bit of humor when he was acting as Bond.

You mean there were others besides Sean Connery?

Besides Sean Connery, my favorite has to be Roger Moore. Of course like someone else said Brosnan was the first Bond I saw as a kid so I like him by default
