Do you have a recommendation for an mp3 player for listening to audio books?
My mom, 70, needs an mp3 player with a touch screen so she can listen to audio books. She is having trouble seeing so I need something easy to operate that she can download books and listen to them.

If she's having trouble seeing, maybe go with a tablet. Larger icons would be easier to see. (and hit)
An iPod touch is probably the most intuitive touch screen mp3 player. Can you give us an idea of your target price range?
@alpayton: We thought about an ipod touch and I am having my look at it on Sunday. My parents might be willing to fork over 200 dollars but not sure. So I guess my target price is between 1 and 2 hundred dollars.
Intuitive is definitely a plus as my mom and dad are late to the electronic world.
My siblings and I gave an iPad and an older iPod touch to my father and step-mother. They are not technical people at all, but they wanted something to read books and to listen to music & audio books. It was the perfect choice. Not a steep learning curve at all. And it gave them a reason to chat with their techie grandkids, who helped them learn how to make it work.
You may want to look for refurb/previous generation iPod touches, as she doesn't need the latest & greatest.
@phoenixgirrl:do you think they need more than 8GB of storage?
@mphdavid - I would think they would only need more than 8GB if they wanted to load up A LOT of audio books at once. Realistically, they can move books on and off the device so it seems to me that 8GB should be plenty of space for them. According to CNET, the average audio book takes around 140MB of storage. That could give them room for 50+ average size books on an 8GB device.
