Why are Blu-ray player manufacturers such cheapskates?
i just bought a new receiver that handles HDMI, so, i'm now in the market for a bluray player. in doing research and seeing what's available, i've noticed something that really irks me. most of the bluray players i've looked at only come with a composite cable. yeah, that's right, composite, not even component. why do manufacturers feel the need to be so cheap when an HDMI cable can be had for less than $1??
now, it's not that i need an HDMI cable. i have plenty thanks to deals.woot. but, come on, a composite cable? seriously? throw us a friggin bone here Sony, LG, Samsung et al.
anyone know of a recent bluray player that converts 50hz content to 60hz?
