I have no problem listing as free shipping as long as you state with minimum $25 purchase of eligible items (or something to that effect). Since not everyone has Prime then I think that can not be listed as free shipping

@natedogg828: If I post something sold by Amazon, I always check free shipping and put in the details that it's free with Prime or with orders over $25

It doesn't matter what speed the shipping is. Free is free.

Besides, you know that Amazon has SOMETHING you've been wanting anyway. Might as get it there since it's cheaper anyway

Yeah free is free. If it doesn't qualify for super saver I don't put free shipping. I've stopped mentioning Prime because I think most people are aware of it by now. Probably naive on my part.

If the item itself is more than 25$, you can list it as free shipping, because it can stand on its own with free shipping

@abramokids: I'm afraid to agree with you, because THEY will know about it.

I agree with popgunhomeboy.

@capguncowboy: So if it's a 1.99 item on Amazon, then I can check Free Shipping and tell everyone that they have to spend another $23.01?

vote-for12vote-against

Free shipping should only be marked if its free by itself! Not with 14 other things or whatever.

vote-for4vote-against

@dangela424: Well, that's pushing it -- I don't know that I've ever posted something from Amazon for that cheap -- I think $13 is the lowest I've posted

But I have Prime, so everything from Amazon has free shipping

@loubriccant: That was my sidekick, but he's deceased now. Bad accident with what I thought was a cap gun. But I'm looking for his replacement

I'm with @abramokids.
My definition:
An item has free shipping if and only if it can be shipped without cost when purchased on its own.

vote-for4vote-against

@capguncowboy vs. @abramokids Who is right? Who is wrong? There can only be ONE.

vote-for9vote-against

Free shipping should only be listed if you can buy just that and get the free shipping. Prime shouldn't be listed as free shipping. Not everyone has it and it costs $70 to join it. I do have and recommend prime, but it shouldn't be listed as free shipping.

vote-for13vote-against

I'm with @jdevenberg. It's not free shipping unless buying ONLY that item, without extra costs, gets it to your door. Prime technically isn't free shipping, since you're paying a yearly fee.

@gatzby: So, are yopu saying that we shouldn't check the free shipping box then post something like this:

List Price: $14.98
Price: $7.49 & eligible for free shipping with Amazon Prime
You Save: $7.49 (50%)

A LOT of people here do this. I do it all the time.

@loubriccant: I'm not saying you should or shouldn't do anything, just answering a post with my opinion. =) It's not my call to change that policy one way or the other. (Edit: Not that there is an official policy on that, which is why it's good to have questions like this: debate!)

Another voice saying NO (provisionally) and NO (always).

NO, it's not free shipping if a $13 item qualifies as a free super saver eligible item. If a $25 item or higher, then yes, it is free shipping. Free shipping means just that. FREE SHIPPING. One deal, one item, one shipping consideration.

NO, prime savings NEVER qualify as free shipping. Prime is a subscription service, it's own product, apart from all else.

If you list either of these as free shipping, you are misleading your fellow wooters.

However, you should still woot deals which are not as appealing without free shipping. Since many have prime and a big amazon basket, we're interested in knowing what you find... Just don't check "free shipping". Mention it in the description instead.

That's the way I feel, at least.

I guess @capguncowboy is the rightest. He has the most votes. I guess we can all start checking the box?

vote-for4vote-against

@gregorylikescheapstu: I agree with this.

I don't have Prime and I feel it's misleading when people check the box and put fine print inside.

vote-for1vote-against

@jumbowoot is there anyway to make a ruling on this? Is it correct to check the free shipping box on an Amazon deal, if you have to add additional items to get the free shipping?

vote-for1vote-against

If it's over $25 and sold by Amazon and not a third party with ridiculous shipping fees, list it as free shipping.
