I loved Raiders of the Lost Ark. I must have gone and seen that a dozen times...

Back to the Future. Anytime it is on TV, I can't resist watching it even though I own it on Blu-Ray and DVD.

Can you believe we will be in the "future" in just 3 years? I have just recently heavily invested in a startup making hoverboards. I figure it's a sure win. I almost feel like Old Biff with a Gray's Sports Almanac giving it to my 2012 self...

I've always loved Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

Empire Strikes Back. Best movie of any decade.

Goonies, Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Stand By Me...I could go on and on.

How could I choose just one? So many good ones already mentioned here, and to add a few more: Gremlins, Ghostbusters, Caddyshack, Terminator, E.T., Full Metal Jacket. Depending on my mood at any given moment, they can all be my favorite.

The Terminator, Aliens, Airplane!, Die Hard, and The Princess Bride.

Big Trouble In Little China.

"You know what Ol' Jack Burton does at a time like this?"

Spaceballs

Edit: If I could go to that site my song would have been the "Top Gun Anthem"

And now that I have thought about a little longer I would have played Axel F instead.

The Breakfast Club. And yes, I can define the ruckus.

For movies...just like for music...the 80s was the best decade ever! Impossible to pick just one.

I agree with Labyrinth. David Bowie was cool.

The teen movies left off:
Valley Girl Modern English 16 Cadles Altered Images Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure Extreme's Play With Me.

Amadeus. Best movie ever made!

I have to agree with @wootmeharder and @90mcg112 on this one. Too hard to pick a movie or song because they were all excellent. Thanks for the suggestions for must-have DVDs.

Megaforce. I think that's from 1980.

Instead of ONLY listening to the music, why not WATCH 80's videos and movie clips on http://www.plug.dj It's like TTFM, but with video support via YouTube and audio support via SoundCloud. Plus... it works outside of the US in any country. Here's a recent review of the site:
