I think it would say, but I'm not 100% sure. I know I had to sign for my laptop when I ordered it, and I signed for a package that came in for a roommate a couple weeks ago. He knew ahead of time it would have to be signed for, so I imagine the tracking info (or confirmation email) told him such.

Wouldn't hurt to double check with the shipper

Depends on the shipper. With FedEx, the answer is yes. I think it's true with the USPS. I don't know about others.

@falcondeal: UPS from ebay. Naturally I'm trying to figure out if I have to be home to receive it, but I'm not motivated enough yet to email the seller.

@sfeitler: If you register on My UPS: https://www.ups.com/myups/login
You can register and they will be able to tell you more information, as well as be able to schedule a delivery at a time you want or have it held at a UPS store.

[EDIT] Scratch that your want to register for UPS My Choice (it's free): https://wwwapps.ups.com/mcdp?loc=en_US&WT.svl=PNRO_L1
