Why is my "questions voted for" needle stuck even though I've voted on every question the last week?
Just wondering if any of you have been wondering the same thing. I've always felt like, in the past, I've voted on more questions than the average user. Since it's seemed to be stuck for the last 4 months, I've decided to try and vote for every single question. Doesn't seem to make a difference.
Will it make a difference (I'm more asking this question to those black triangles who have been around longer than me and might know...)?

Because the needle doesn't reflect how many votes you have cast, it reflects how many other people voted for/against a deal or question after you have cast your vote.
By voting on every question you have reduced the average number of votes that followed your vote.
Try only voting on things that you think other people will also vote on.
As durkzilla says - it is the quality of what you vote on (deal, comment, and question) and the quality of what you post (deal, comment, and question), NOT the quantity that makes your meters move.
And to clarify @eviloverlord333's comment, "quality" is defined by how many upvotes a deal/question/comment/answer gets (after you've voted for it).
Theoretically, any deal you look at you should vote on, based on whether you like it or not/think its a good deal or not. If everyone on the site followed that general idea, then everyone would get their voting meter moving. Instead, a lot of people reserve their votes for "what they think will make the prime time" and ignore everything else.
Mesoamerican Long Count calendar is ending, so your needles are beginning to sag...
What I do, which feels more honest and useful than voting by what I predict will be popular, is focus my voting almost exclusively on the freshest questions and deals, then being selective about only upvoting what I really think is good.
If no one else has voted on it yet, unless it gets downvoted into the ground, your ranking is likely to profit by later interest. I'm not a black triangle, but that's only because I only vote on things about twice a week and never post deals, so it seems to work pretty well.
I've posted top questions, posted top deals, etc in the past week and my rep keeps dropping and dropping. I think the past week wootbot / leaderboard maintenance people have been in the Bahamas or something.
@durkzilla: thank you for this! Hopefuls, I'll be able to improve a little more with this new information :)
