I wouldn't say no to local woot in Raleigh-Durham, NC.
I should probably be more embarrassed than I am over the swelling sense of pride I got from this invite. But I just feel too gosh darn important to care.

Not much of a fan personally. Looks and feels like a groupon knock-off sort of thing.

I'll subscribe, although in truth there are already a million local-deal-a-day sites so if nothing catches my eye within the first couple of weeks I'd probably stop paying attention. Groupon alone is overwhelming lately with like 10 deals a day and "now" deals and getaways and a new woot-type site and... etc. I'm about to unsub from them altogether.
Still, looking forward to what you can offer in LA!
I checked it out. It looks like it could be promising but seeing as how I live in Pittsburgh I can't really tell.

Dang it, I'd like to check out the St. Louis one but I'm green now. I had a black triangle before Gears of War 3 came out.

My town isn't nearly important enough to be in there. It was only in the last year or so that google finally got their car with the fancy 360 degree camera out here and drove past my house for the first time. Hell we just opened our first Chipotle in the past year, that is how behind this town is.

I'll wait until Denver or another city in the Rocky Mountain Region is added, but it sure looks like Woot may be putting too many irons in the fire. And, I think invites should go out when cities are added to Wooters' locales.
I had a purple triangle and deleted the email and went down to a green triangle. I see what you did there.

Nothing cool ever happens to me on Woot.
It seems good, but I can't really tell for sure since I'm in Boston and they haven't added it yet. I'd check the New York deals but I'm never over there.
I checked out the nearest one to me, St. Louis. I don't imagine I'll use the deals too much though since it's a 5-hour drive just to get there.

If anyone wants/needs/begs-hard-enough-for an invite, I got some.
Ok now that I've had a chance to actually look at it, I see that woot itself isn't offering the local deals, it's more of a deals.woot for LivingSocial, Groupon and the like? I suppose that's useful for getting a snapshot of the many daily sites and I always like to be able to discuss those deals since many sites don't have a Q&A area (and Groupon took away their freeform discussion areas). I like it, although since it's not out for LA so I can't do much.
Can we still post national Groupons here on deals.woot?
I'm actually really excited about local.woot coming to Pittsburgh after reviewing the deals in the other cities. Woot staff when you're in the area look me up and I'll throw you a house party. Make sure to bring some monkeys! Ohh, and I need advanced notice so I can get permission from my mommy. :-)

Received the e-mail yesterday at 6:53 PM - My city is not listed yet nor are the other three I'm going to visit before years end. Will keep checking though and plan to use when I am able.
