Not sure if there's an actual goal they're trying to accomplish or if it's some sort of PR/marketing campaign. Do they think they're going to become the only "space currency" or something?

@zuiquan: I think its PR and future proofing.

@mybestuser1: Yeah, you don't want to be caught sleeping when space gets monetized. Because we're oh so close to becoming a spacefaring species. Silly companies.

I wonder if we will be able to pay for woot purchases, via PayPal, in space. :-\

@pickypickypicky: Shipping is going to be a problem, I'll bet.

@mybestuser1: lol do you have a macro set up for that or what?

vote-for2vote-against

@mybestuser1: My comment was actually referring to that, hence the :-\, LOL.

It's so you can buy rocket pants...cause baby, your a$$ is out of this world!!

@zuiquan: I have a program I got for free called Spartan that saves/keeps track of any text/picture that I copy paste. It comes in handy for links.

@mybestuser1: That's cool, how many does it save at a time?

vote-for2vote-against

@zuiquan: More than I could possibly need, but unless intentionally saved it keeps track of the last 25 copy paste operations.

I like that the author says PayPal already has connections to space:

"PayPal is no stranger to outer space. One of its founders, Elon Musk, heads the privately held space company Space Exploration Technologies Corp., better known as SpaceX. And James Doohan, best known for his role as "Scotty" on "Star Trek," was PayPal's first official spokesman when it launched in 1999."

I'll give you the first one. The second, uh, wasn't real.

@kylemittskus: I have connections to space as well. One time, I looked up and saw Halley's Comet so, you know...

@zuiquan: We are all flying through space on space ship Earth.

I think it is a little bit premature, but interesting nonetheless.
