1 Cup of steel-cut oats
1 Cup of raisins
4 Cups of water
1/2 Cup of half-and-half
2 Tbsp maple syrup

Mix it all up in the crock-pot and set it on low right before you go to bed and wake up to a delicious breakfast.

You can try other fruit options as well as spices like cinnamon or nutmeg, too.


Large with all the toppings


I made a lentil soup with smoked ham hocks a couple weeks ago that was pretty smashing good.

3 smoked ham hocks
1 bag o lentils (think it was a pound)
2 carrots diced
1 onion diced
2 celery diced
3 cloves garlic
can of diced tomatoes
2-3 bay leafs
pinch or two of dried thyme
4-5 can of veggie broth

Saute up the veggies with a little salt n pepper, go easy on the salt as the ham hocks will add plenty of salt. Wash the lentils, pick out any bad ones or rocks. Everybody in the pot for 7-8 hours on low. Pull out the hocks and pick em apart. Add the meat back. It's ready to serve.


Boneless chicken breast
One large can of Las Palmas Green Enchilda Sauce
1 Cup uncooked white rice

Set on low, cook for 6-7 hours.
