How long will it take for me to lose my Black Triangle?

If I quit Woot cold-turkey, how long would it take for me to become a lesser triangle? Is it possible to get back down to a white triangle? I often wonder if I could then relapse and regain my Black Triangle from a white triangle. What do you think?

First of all, what makes you think you could quit? Right now it's just a theory. that you can. Don't try it without a doctor. I've only seen one person do it, and I really miss him. (shout-out to @loubriccant) Although I have heard of others.

Secondly, what makes you think Woot will let you? A large band of monkeys will come for you in the night. You will be forced into an unmarked van. You will be driven to a secret location, and forced to subsist only on food from wine.woot. You will spend your days breaking perfectly good things for the BOC'c. It's worse than the salt mines.

I remember back a while ago, I went cold turkey from woot for about three months or so. When I left I was a black triangle at 99% or so, when I returned I was down to 75%. I've been debating leaving for awhile again, I seem to complain more and more these days about the ridiculousness of what deals.woot has evolved into. We will just have to wait and see.

you'd probably just turn a funky shade of green or orange and stay there. if you want to test the white to black theory, create a new account and see how far up you get

Well for me, life got crazy so I stopped participating in deals.woot for a bit, and I only dropped from purple to green in a span of 3-4 months. It must take quite a while to get back to white.

^^^ that sounds about right. i went back to purple a couple of times in the past month because i didn't do anything for like 5 daysish, but then all i have to do to get my black back is post a good deal/question and comment some like im doing now

@pickypickypicky: I'm alive! The changes here really have caused me to lose interest, but I'll give it another go and see if my feelings have tempered. I doubt that I'll be posting as many deals, but I will make the usual goofy comments over on this side. I missed you, too!
