I'm putting that off until the day after Halloween. :) Then I'll think about it.

I just did yesterday. I happened to be at Toys R Us without my daughter and there were a couple things I knew she wanted so took advantage of the situation.

I'm actually about half done. Kids.woot has been good to me this year, and since I mostly shop for kids I only have a couple things left. I may finish by the end of this woot-off with them. And the few adults I will grab black Friday (I go for the sport of it!) or in weeks following when I am a hunting widow and need something to do. I learned the hard way not to finish shopping too early.

I have shopped as early as the day after. I generally collect kid stuff whenever I run across a good deal and a few weeks or so before Christmas I dig it out and see if I am done. This stash also covers birthdays and just for fun gifts.

Last year I did something I'd never done before: I snagged things on kids.woot all year long & then I filled a ginormous lawn & garbage bag full of toys from Woot & dropped them off for Toys for Tots. Darned if the holiday spirit didn't overtake me.

So this year I've done the same thing & then some. One corner of my apartment is the Toys for Tots area. I pick up other things for friends & family, of course, but the year-round holiday shopping for TfT is great fun.

I started last week. Target had "Buy 1, get 1 50% off" on Barbie products so I grabbed a few items. It is rare to see Barbie stuff on sale at Christmas and it seems like the Black Friday deals are always for the most basic Barbies.
