How about a Deals.Woot blog or update box on the homepage?
When Deals.Woot makes changes, updates the site, or wants to get a messages out there is no efficient way to communicate with the masses. It's pretty clear that the "Ask the Wooters" pages aren't thoroughly read.
Perhaps on the Deals.Woot homepage, something akin to the "Woot Blog" box on Woot's homepage could be installed so the overlords can broadcast regulations, edicts, and commandments.

That would be nice, even better would be staff actually announcing changes instead of us announcing it for them.
The list of things I would like grows ever longer, and I'm afraid my indifference has grown with it.
On the other hand, as I've said before, I'm not signing anyone's paycheck, and I don't have staff reporting to me. They all have other task masters, but I do wonder sometimes who's in charge.
The idea that I have to go back and CHECK to see wether a thing a voted for is still voted is simply too disconcerting. On the other hand, right now, 200,000 people in Dallas are without power. Cybercon must be running on generators, or else it's not served by Oncor (Cybercon is where the woot machines other than Deals live, to the best of my fairly educated knowledge). Funny. For some reason, I'd thought they were running on Rackspace. Guess that's why they didn't use the Rackspace cloud.
I'm close to taking a vacation myself...
@shrdlu: It is Cybercon, your right. Deals lives in the part of the Amazon cloud on the eastern seaboard, well the traffic is being routed to the east coast for me.
I didn't know Dallas was without power or that they were hit with a big snowstorm. Sometimes, I got to get my head out of the California weather bubble, where a drop of rain is the storm of the century*. At least I knew the Northeast was pummeled with snow.
*A week of rain is the storm of the century for me, mainly because by then the hillsides start to slip away.
@shrdlu: Yes, the Dallas area got a foot of snow in 24 hours. It broke all kinds of records. The snow downed tree's and power lines, even some roofs collapsed.
Also, you have mentioned a couple times that you are getting tired of the problems that Deals is having. Please don't get too annoyed at the growing pains. You are a valuable member of this community!
and there are how many feet of snow on the Eastern Seaboard right now? Someone lied when they said winters would be mild in the Carolinas. Granted I have lived here for almost 14 years but the last three have been brutal.
@hobbit: From what I understand, the eastern seaboard is now composed of entirely of snow, homes are being replaced with large 2 story igloos.
@hobbit: Don't you have more coming? Heard the Carolinas were gonna get it good. I have friends in Dallas who were having a tough time with the snow snapping the limbs off trees in their yard. Even periodic knocking off the snow didn't help. Haven't heard from them in 24 hours, so I'm assuming they're now part of the thousands without power.
I kept my fingers crossed I would run into some flurries on the way home from New Orleans yesterday. Weather Channel said I-10 corridor when get a heavy dusting yesterday. Ha! Rain, cold, cold rain that seemed to sense when we needed to make a pit stop and come down even harder.
@lavikinga: I am in denial about any weather coming my way. What we had last night is almost gone, but of course it will freeze on the roads tonight. At least I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow.
Weirdly, up in boston, there isn't a flake anywhere. We've had less than a third the snow D. C. has seen in the last month or two.
A little more on topic, I think a deals blog is a bully good plan, mates.
