I have had this coffee it tastes different. chicory makes it taste a bit different. Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans uses Chicory in their coffee.

@sand4me: It comes in a can. IT COMES IN A CAN.

I suppose it all depends on what you like. I don't much care for chicory, and I prefer coffee that is whole bean, and has been roasted somewhere within a week of my purchase. I like best coffee that's been roasted just before I want to grind and then brew it, but am far too lazy to roast my own coffee.

Sadly, I moved away from friends that were adept at roasting, and must now depend on either local sources, or ordering online.

I personally find chicory to be disgusting, but we all like different things.

@hobbit: I had some when visiting my friend, and they have to buy it online because it is not available here. It seemed tasty but very strong flavored.

@shrdlu: Yes, it comes in a can, but right now I am using little pods in a Senseo so my tastebuds must be underdeveloped or something. Plus, I must put myself in the kind of lazy category...

@sand4me: Well in that case go buy stuff at the grocery store that is NOT in a can. Because we drink a lot of coffee at the office we prefer anything in those bag things, I gravitate towards the Dunkin Donut Brand and Newman's Own...but don't get stuff in a can. I believe someone described how to make their own pods in one of the pod coffee maker threads, it can't be that hard.
