I don't know what day it was offered, but if The Dark Knight ever came back I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Nay, half of a heartbeat..

@1298ty: How did you link your text "The Dark Knight" back to the shirt? And how do you Tag questions?

vote-for3vote-against

@huachucac: [words you want to say] and then (www.linkyouwanted.com)

put those together without a space between them
words you want to say

@huachucac: I bet you'll like this too... Italics, Bold, Bold Italics.
Achieve this from the amount of asterics you put in-front and behind what you want italicized or bold. 1- Italics, 2-Bold, 3- Bold Italics.

Oh shoot it looks like we've hijacked your thread. The least I could do is answer your question.

I think woot does this to let you know what a damn fool you've been in the past. Make it so you think "Jeeze I wont make that mistake again" and then buy a shirt the second you see one you like (it works for me at least... been first to purchase 2 or 3 shirt.woot items)

Also- screens and blanks take up a lot of time and space. They wouldn't be able to do print to order 600 different shirts, so they let the less popular ones go away and throw what's left in the random shirt draws. Which reminds me I think we're about due for another random.shirt sale pretty soon...hopefully sometime this week?

I too would buy Dark Knight if I could ever find it again, I missed the first opportunity as I thought I would have plenty of time to buy it. Also I'm trying to figure out where I could get "the Answer" which was designed by the same artist and up for voting last week on threadless.

Really what bums me out is my favorite shirts don't seem to win the derby and will likely never be printed.

@huachucac: Since your question was already hijacked with "how do you do that?" Can you tell me how you reply to more than one person in a single reply?

And I agree with CowboyDann. I think it is to make us regret not pulling the trigger the first time, so we will definitely buy the next shirt we think we might want! I love your idea of being able to vote "I'd want one if you'd just please give us a do-over!"

@caron7: All you have to do is tag the other person somewhere in your comment. To tag someone you only need to type @ followed by their name, the rest is automatic.

@cowboydann: for example

@caron7: I just type the @ symbol and their name on separate lines, I'm not sure it it will send them e-mails (if they so click when they posted their comment).

@cowboydann: Lesson learned, Please don't tell my family what a "damn fool" I've been. I already have to live with this branding / Scarlet letter within the woot community. :-)

It would be nice to have a "reprint request" button for old shirts, but I understand if that's not economical for Woot.

@huachucac: I don't recall seeing you around before today...when did you join? Like other users your join date shows it as today....but you have a 98 rep!

vote-for1vote-against

@jsimsace: I really starting getting into it in mid December. But it only took about four days to get into the 90s in the holiday traffic. A few questions about jumbowoot, I few posted deals. I do not expect to stay at 98. To much other things I have to stay on top of right now, But its a fun release, I love the people, he wooters have the best personality :)

What tease?

My take is that at least Woot has the reckoning, in which there's at least one whole week in which one can purchase any given design before it's gone for good.

OTOH, you have sites like TeeFury, which takes on the true Woot model of one day, one item. There's no second thoughts here - if you don't buy it that day, you're not going to be able to get one tomorrow. At all.
