Does the Shamrock Shake taste different?
So, I finally got my hands on a Shamrock Shake today. Is it just me or does it taste a lot different than last year? Mine was more vanilla than minty, plus I was puzzled when the guy asked me if I wanted to add whip cream.
Several people agree that the flavor has indeed changed -
I think it has changed, too.
Yeah, I knew it tasted different last year, but it REALLY tasted weak today. I'm pretty disappointed. Might have to check out a bacon shake.
Mcdonalds shakes have all sucked for years. Chocolate so weak that it tastes like vanilla, too runny, weak shamrock shakes, etc.
Haven't had one yet this year. I was shocked last year when it came in a 'fancy' clear cup with whipped cream. But it was ok then...
Maybe your location's machine was off? They just use vanilla and the machine adds the flavored extract as it is poured...
Shamrock shakes are about the only thing I buy at McDonald's, and I've found that they vary greatly by location. The flavor/vanilla balance always seems to be different, some places add whipped cream and a cherry, etc.
If you don't like how one McDonald's makes it, you might want to try a different one.
Alright, I'm gonna try again tomorrow at a different McD's. Either that or a bacon shake at Jack in the Box.
@sunnyx0r: Good call. I tried the Shamrock Shake at a different McD's, and it was much better. It still seemed a bit thin on the mint, but a heckuva lot better than the previous one.
