Anyone seen any merchandising items from HBO's Game of Thrones?
I am looking for the dragon eggs that Dany Targaryen has - my disabled brother collects dragons and I thought the dragon eggs would be a nice addition to his collection.

Not sure about the eggs but they have a set of the first four books on Amazon. New one should come out soon.
@sand4me: Unfortunately, I could not find any stand alone egg replicas. The only Game of Thrones egg item I could find was this necklace:

Good Luck in your search. If I ever come across these items (it's only a matter of time till someone is selling them) I will post.
I must say, as someone who has read the books, they are doing a great job. I was glad to hear it has been picked up for a second season.
@dontmakemehurtyou: have read the books and eagerly awaiting the new one on 7/12. Great story.
@mfladd: Thanks for the necklace - I knew about the t-shirts also, but am guessing that the eggs have not made it into the retail loop yet. They are doing a great job. I remember while reading how shocked I was at the death of Eddard Stark, and my spouse was equally as shocked watching the show. Filming on season 2 starts in July.
@sand4me: Interesting....it seems HBO has trademarked Game of Thrones artificial eggs (see under first bullet point) and a whole slew of other things.
@sand4me: sorry..I forgot the link in my last post. Here it is: http://www.westeros.org/GoT/News/Entry/4711/
@mfladd: That list seems excessive somehow. Trademarks and patents - out of control.
@sand4me: I agree it looks like HBO wants to maintain complete control of the merchandising, and perhaps licensing for GofT items. CafePress is the only other site I can find selling Game of Throne T-shirts other than the HBO Site. 20% thru tomorrow.
I'd guess you can expect them eventually. As evidenced by the bottled "tru blood" you can buy now, along with various other items.
@mfladd: They are doing a great job with staying true to the books aren't they? I can't think of any plot points they've changed or left out.
My one beef is that the wolves play a tiny role and aren't as enormous as they sound in the book. I guess they didn't want CGI which I understand. Still, love me some dire wolves!
@czarkingkaiser: they really are. It seems like forever since I read the books. But as soon as I started watching the series it all came back. I remembered just what a great series this is (with more to come) and how I really need to read these books again.
Book Five - A Dance with Dragons: A song of Ice and Fire - is available for Pre-Order. Ships July 12th.
Deal posted here: http://www.amazon.com/Dance-Dragons-Song-Fire-Book/dp/0553801473/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308793202&sr=8-1&tag=dealswoot-20
Silly me, @kuriakos beat my deal by a month!
My woot search didn't come up with anything. :/
@mfladd: I pre-ordered it weeks ago and waiting with great anticipation. Might re-read some of the others before then. The season finale was very good. My brother wants the DVD when it makes it out.
@czarkingkaiser: I also thought the wolves seemed a bit small, but they are still quite young in the storyline, so they might get bigger.
@sand4me: forgive me, if I am telling you something you already now, but the 1st season is available in dvd and blu-ray on Amazon for pre-order. And they have discounted the sets. The HBO store isn't even listing them yet. Amazon supplies no release date yet. But it might be a good time to purchase while it is discounted.

@sand4me: It seems it was announced today for the blu-ray/dvd pre-order.
It's a paperweight! But it's pretty eggy.
@anthem11: Thank You!!! My brother will be very happy with this and I really appreciate your notification.
Just found your page I was the winner of the game of thrones sweepstakes and so have the eggs used on set
@alexcrazy14: Lucky you! I bought the paperweight for my brother and he is very happy with it.
