Did you hear Kofi Annan quit his post as special envoy to Syria?

Who can take his place? Is it possible now to find an end to the war in Syria? Sadly, it just seems to be no end in sight.

He should of known he'd be able to do nothing. He did nothing in the UN and knows the UN does nothing. His hands were tied because of China and Russia, just as the Security Council is. They should just stick to their non-binding resolutions of harsh words.
