Are you going to spend more than last year?

I keep seeing conflicting reports and predictions of how this x-mas season will be in the retail world, if spending will go up, down, or what. Are you all going to be shopping equal to or greater than when you drop?

Probably about the same. The economy sucked last year too.

About 1/3 of what we spent last year. (We do factor travel cost into our budget, this year we just couldn't swing plane tickets, sorry Mom). We cut our list by a third, lowered the per person limit, and chopped the heck out of our limit for each other.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
