I got the SmartPlanet 5-Piece Survival Set. It's actually pretty neat, although I think "survival" is a bit of an oversell.

One down, one to go. And the $5 coupon went for the cat with shamrock shirt for my wife.

The Smith and Wesson compact LED handgun rail mount light. Nice.

A very awesome hoodie for my daughter - she got the red "smores" Valentine's Day special ($25 hoodie for $5). She gets a lot of comments on it and I have a hard time getting her to let me wash it - she wears it all the time.

@okham: I got a $5, and used it on the same thing. Too cute not to get.

Random shirts. Finally got all three of them to be good.

The Huffy boy's bike for my kid.

vote-for9vote-against

Eh? What are these coupons you speak of?

vote-for8vote-against

The usual - more shirts. :)

In the future ... probably NOT more shirts.

vote-for11vote-against

@narfcake: 50 bucks says you keep buying shirts.

vote-for9vote-against

@gideonfrost: If he doesn't but shirts with his coupons, can he use your $50 to buy more shirts with? Win/Win

vote-for7vote-against

I check out Woot every day and have purchased quite a few items. Have not ever received a coupon of any kind; wonder what you have to do to make that happen?

vote-for7vote-against

@gideonfrost: If they go back to AA, then yes. But it's not like I'm about to run out anytime soon ...

@lichme: HAHA! But if I then use the $50 to buy more shirts, then that invalidates the bet, which means I won't get the $50 ...

DAMN paradox!

@susan11125: The coupons are usually from participating here at deals.woot. Every month, the criteria is different, so there's no point in trying to game it.

Be active, vote and comment as necessary, post good deals ... basically, contribute to the community here, and the coupons will find their way to your inbox sooner or later.

vote-for9vote-against

@susan11125: Be active on here and if you have the right kind of activity that's being tracked in a particular month, jumbowoot may send you a coupon.

No one knows ahead of time what's being tracked. Just be active and you'll probably be fine.

@narfcake: I don't understand this stance you've taken you're typing on a computer that likely has forign made parts. You probably have a phone with forign made parts, What about your TV? Your Car? Do you own any video game consoles? Have you checked to make sure every bit of everything you used was made in America? Or do you just hate on woot for it while pretending the other stuff is okay?

Also sorry to the OP this is off topic. But I'll be done after this.

I used my first $20 on 3 random shirts (ended up not liking any of them, but life goes on while I wait for trades), then a $5 on the Nyan's Dream shirt. Still have a $20 waiting to be used. Husband still has a $5. Planned on putting them towards shirts at the last minute potentially, but not so sure now, as judging from the incoming reviews on them, my sizing is going to be rather awkward, among other issues.

@gideonfrost: Call it patriotism, call me crazy, but indeed, I do look for 'made in the USA' whenever and wherever I can. My truck (92% domestic content) recently needed a new radiator, and I did spend the extra $15 to get one that is made in the USA instead of China.

I have no qualms of Woot making money; I'm used to buying the shirts here at the regular $15 anyways. My beef is that the price increase last month and the switch this week comes to me as a pure profit motive, casualties of other Americans be damned. Our economy is the way it is right now because corporations have been opting for the bottom dollar instead - to pad their own bottom line profits. The problem is that folks who had a job will now be out of it - and that turns them from productive members of society (from the taxes they pay and the trickle down effect of their spending), to liabilities on the rest of society due to their unemployment.

Reading too far? Perhaps, but 50+k of shirts a month has an impact.

I meant to use it on a steam mop, but I had to leave the house and missed it. So, I'm still sitting on one $20 coupon - at least I have till March 31st to use it!

vote-for9vote-against

Are you sure it expires the end of this month? I just checked mine and it is good until 3/31.

vote-for8vote-against

I still have my $20 coupon, but I did use a $5 coupon to buy the refurb Razer Bluetooth mouse. I've been looking for a Bluetooth mouse, and the price was hard to beat.

I bought my dad a giant bamboo cutting board from the Janurary Woot-off!

He hasnt even unpacked it yet -__-.

vote-for8vote-against

I still have 2 that I haven't used yet. I was hoping for something good in the Woot Off, but no luck.

Time's a tickin'.....

vote-for6vote-against

And I just added the home.woot lock and lock, so I am officially coupon-less.

vote-for5vote-against

Sitting on my $5 until there's a shirt I want, as usual.

vote-for6vote-against

Used it on wine.woot for Fleur de Sel caramels. Last night, I had the last one from the first half of the box.

vote-for5vote-against

@baqui63: Good thinking! Everyone knows that using someone else's money immediately removes all calories from Fleur de Sel caramels!

vote-for5vote-against

Ok, scratch that. Me & hubs got today's shirt.woot - so I used the coupon and scored both shirts for $4.12. Gotta stock up on AA shirts now...

Got passed over this time around.
