Did Woot ads change?

I just got hit by one of those stupid "if you drive less than 37 miles per day you are getting ripped off by not using this ridiculously easy trick"...
I've always hated those ads.

Did Woot's ad choice change? ...or would it be my browsing history?

Is this just me?

I sure hope I don't start seeing those ads about local moms finding loopholes in the government or mysterious fruits...

I have no idea. I use an ad blocker so I haven't seen any advertisements for a long time.

Are you referring to the ads to the right of the deals list? If so, mine change based on my browsing, right now mine are Pandora charms, office furniture, and Looxcie wearable camcorder. If they aren't the ones you are talking about, then I'm not sure. They are the only ads I see.

@lmensor: Yeah, I think they are related to your browsing. I have been on T Mobile's site all day trying to get info on a micro sim card and a T Mobile ad is the only thing I see now. I think geography also play a part since I often see ads for things that are local to me.

I guess I get weird ads... I've only seen the kind that I mentioned on weird sites that I don't like so much.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
