I saw Ep IV on HBO before Jedi came out, then saw Jedi in the theatre. I was 8. It was a while before I got to see Empire, though. Whenever they first aired it on TV, I guess.

Saw Starwars (new hope) when I was 5, saw empire shortly after that, then had to wait another year or 3 for Jedi to come out on the TV.

Hard to say. I know that when I was 4 and/or 5 that I had Star Wars figures and played with them. (this would be 1984 and 85 respectively). So it's possible that I saw them around that time but I don't recall my first viewings.

Can't think of anything in them that is very scary, outside of the acting in 1-3 :p lulz

I am totally getting down voted..... Never saw it...

Saw it in the theater when it first came out. I guess I was 6 then.

I was 14 when it was released. I saw it five times during its first week. Also saw Smokey and the Bandit four times. (It was my first paycheck, from my first real job.)

19 when it came out, bought tickets and waited in line for 3 showings to finish before we got in. Amazing movie!
Then, just over a year later, it was Alien.
Good time for space movies!

I do not remember, but too young to appreciate it.

I say start with the one where Spock Dies.

We drove into the city and bought tickets to the only showing that wasn't already sold out... We ended up wandering around until about an hour before show time to get in line again, this time to get good seats ...

Amazing movie, way ahead of anything else at that time...

In the theater for my 6th birthday. Took about 10 other kids from my kindergarten class with me. Some still bring it up to me to this day...

@underinsomnia: Why would I downvote? I always have pity on the disadvantaged and deprived. Poor thing. But it's not too late. There are people who can help. I'll look for a support group for you and post back.

I was 20 when "A New Hope" was released. I was NOT disappointed, despite the hype. I don't remember who my date was for the movie, but I clearly recall being nearly airsick during some of the Mellenium Falcon flight sequences. These scenes were so far ahead of what had been in past movies that it was just amazing. What's also amazing is that, despite the disappointments of the three prequels, the series still has millions of SERIOUS fans, including my 26 year old son (who actually moderates a Star Wars forum).

Star Wars at 4 or 5 and Empire at 5 in the theater. I didn't know what was going on really but I enjoyed the hell out of them. :)

I don't remember a time that I hadn't seen Star Wars. I wanted to be a Jedi when I grew up- you can imagine my disappointment.

Saw them all in the theatres, I guess I saw A New Hope when I was 5. Then my friend and I rode our bikes up to the library every day in our neighborhood one summer to watch it every single day once it came out on video. Should've known I'd grow into a hot geek chick.

My Very First memory is actually waking up in the movie theater in the middle of ROTJ (original run), right about where Vader & Luke are having their chat down on the forest moon, before heading up to visit uncle creepy in the death star.

i would have been about 3 1/2 years old, and apparently, very loudly,Something to the effect of "Where are we/Where am I?"
