Are you a Lego Fan? Have you tried using virtual Legos in your browser?
Lego has allied itself with Google's Chrome browser, creating a web app that lets users craft their own houses, creatures and models, and then delicately place them across the whole of Australia and New Zealand. Celebrating 50 years of pre-teen Lego architecture in the Land Down Under, you can grab a plot of land from the source, start throwing some bricks together now and share your creations on the very public map and Google+. According to Australia's Daily Telegraph, Lego Build hopes to roll out globally through Chrome later this year.
I love legos and had a huge box of them when I was younger. My parents gave them away.
Now, it would cost me a fortune to replace that box. It also appears most kits are to build a particular object instead of having random blocks to allow you to build anything you want.
I'd also like to have my old erector set too.
@cengland0: Well these virtual ones are FREE! lol.
@morriea: Yes and I have already built a pyramid using those free blocks.
I used to invent things and use the legos to build my prototypes. I cannot really test those using the virtual blocks. Also, I noticed that not all the blocks are available. One of the main ones that I needed were the 2x2 tiles that were smooth on the top. I use those to have other components moveable.
oh man. takes me back to the days of e-sheep.
(remember those?!)
Bookmarking this for later! :)
I've always liked Lego products. Thanks!
Holy crap, how did I miss this? Thank you!
I'm not sure how I feel about LEGO you can't touch/step on to lacerate the soles in the middle of the night.
hmm, @morriea ...your link appears to 404. perhaps your deal wasn't a deal after all. ho hum.
since OP doesn't know how to share this type of site with others, newcomers might try http://www.buildwithchrome.com
@pinchecat: This was linked to the "deal" that you complained so much about yesterday. I am not sure why you are making it difficult. Please try to let some people enjoy themselves without trying to get the things that I post to look problematic. The link was fine. I knew exactly how to share it, as evidence by the earlier comments from people that went there.
Typing "since OP doesn't know...." is just being mean for the sake of being mean, and there really is no place for that here. This community should support each other, not try to be vindictive. May I ask why you are so offended by my posts?
@morriea: i'm not offended, i just (correctly) pointed out that yesterday's posting didn't belong. you're the one that was argumentative.
