Waiting for Woot.com... Waiting, waiting, waiting, Connection Timed Out....

Lots of Waiting for Woot.com and some Connection Timed Out Messages...

Also got a bunch of these: "Yikes, there's been a server error" This question took three tries and about a 10 minute wait...

I'm assuming that the WootOff is having an effect on the Servers but isn't this planned for?? Might be the Dreaded BOC effect...

Considering that you are a black triangle and you just joined today (Wait. What? How in the world can you have a black triangle having only joined today?) and you know about WootOffs and BOCs, I'll assume you're asking this question for the reputation.

But for all 3 of those new people who may look at this question hoping for an actual answer, it should be expected (100% guaranteed) that the servers will have problems at the point of the WootOff when BOC is offered.

I should have looked before I leapt. Clearly you are not a new user. So something is wrong with the system because it says you joined today.

@thepenrod: Yep... Been on here a long time although not as long as others...
I also have far more than one Woot, so there is another issue to log...

I was kind of wondering why the Woot.com WootOff activity was slowing down the entire WootVerse...

@thepenrod: Having your join date be today's date is one of the glitches that occurs along with disappearing staff badges and colorless triangles. The database will eventually get reloaded and all the stats will be corrected, it just takes a while.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
