questionsdid you hear that the olympic "blade runner" has…

This is really sad; if it was an accident, I can't imagine what he's going through.

Legal experts in his defense say that he doesn't appear to have a leg to stand on.

Too soon?

The world's not off-kilter. You just hear about these things more often so it seems like it's happening constantly. We're actually much less violent as a species than we used to be.

@eraten: How do you accidentally shoot someone four times? I'd like to hear that defense argument.

This crap happens. It happens often, but no more than it has in years past. The difference is that now we hear about it when it does happen because of the digital age we live in. It doesn't make it any less horrible, but you shouldn't feel like the world has suddenly taken a turn for the worse.

@capguncowboy: Well unless he was using a musket, it's not that hard. You can easily fire off 4 rounds in 2 seconds with a handgun; however long it takes to apply 4lbs of pressure with your index finger. I have no clue on the details of this case, and probably won't care. But since in America it's innocent until proven guilty, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

There's one thing his legs can't outrun: Justice.

@90mcg112: I bet he speaks freely in his defense. His attorneys aren't worried about him shooting himself in the foot.
