Do you click a link just to view comments or add yours?
Just wondering if anyone else is guilty? I admit it, even if I have no interest in the item, I often click the link to see other's comments, and sometimes add my own. Anyone else care to stand up and testify?

"Looks like you're excellent at adding deals. You could increase your reputation by voting on some comments."
Gotta keep up that rep.
Depends on if its someting I'm looking for, or something I know a little about. otherwise, I try to keep out of places I don't feel I belong.
Sometimes I open a deal I'm not interested in buying, but do want to know what people are saying about it. And, at times, I'll add a comment. Also, usually upvote comments/answers because I appreciate that someone took the time to add their thoughts. Their comments or answers may be the exact opposite of mine. But I'm pretty positive about thanking people by upvoting...both on deals & questions. Rude comment/answers do get my downvote. Do not downvote deals or questions. Yet, I sometimes comment on those I have not upvoted. Sorry for going off topic about voting. It's kinda automatically connected for me.
I'm curious to see what other wooters think of items I have an opinion of. And keeping my black triangle is strangely important to me.
Definitely. Part of the lure of deals.woot is the social (community) aspect and in many cases, I check the comments just to see what people have to say about an item or deal.
Sometimes I'll add comments, either because I know something about the item or deal, or because I have something humorous and/or helpful to add.
I find that questions and deals comments sections usually have information I may not have obtained otherwise. At least a part of the value of the deals.woot community is in what we each bring to the discussion to share with others. I often read and vote on comments without feeling the need to say anything myself, and a lot of the time, it's because it's already been said.
@nastyducky: ya the info given is really nice, reviews, opinions, better prices, extra codes, their always good to look at. Plus i like reading some of the funny ones
I always look at the comments of deals.
It helps to find out the quality, value, and validity of a deal.
It helps to weed out the bad deals and retailers. Like the $1 earbuds, and the rip-off groupon sites.
If it is something I'm interested in I'll take a look at the comments for reviews of the product. I'll also take a look at deals with a large number of down votes to see what all the hubbub is about. I won't go open a deal just to look at comments.
yes, when it have detailed introductions and i will read it carefully and follow it.
Sometimes its the comments that are better than the deal. Other times, it is to add my own comments. If I just opened the deals that I was interested in, then this would become a boring site pretty quickly.
