Do you know what this is called?
I was talking to my sister about favorite foods from childhood, and we both thought of the same dessert, but we can't remember what it is called. This topic has come up before, and it is very frustrating that I still can't remember.
It is a sort of ice cream cake except its not made up of layers of cake and ice cream, but it is a cake made up of ice cream (if that makes sense). As I recall (it has been more than 10-15 years), the cake consisted of layers of ice cream with thin layers of chocolate between (like the hardened chocolate topping you can buy for sundaes). If I remember correctly, my family use to buy them from Kroger for birthday celebrations. I think they came in rectangular boxes in the freezer aisle. Unfortunately, they stopped selling it after awhile, and I have been unable to find it anywhere since.
I guess I'm too late like usual. All I could find was this. :)

That's it! Aw, just as I get my hopes up, I find out it really isn't available in the USA anymore. I'm disappointed. :(

It was back for a short time a couple of years ago. I bought a bunch then. I wish it'd come back again.
