Any as-seen-on-TV commercial is bad. Very bad.

Whatever company is behind those moronic "don't wake up in a ditch" ads.

That pipe lady that talks having to go to the bathroom all the time.

That stupid lizard and Flo is getting really old....

@drjing: What?!?!?!?! Those are awesome. The people in those commercials can't do anything. It's so funny.

@durkzilla: My feelings exactly, for a long time now. Isn't it DirecTv? I feel insulted every time I watch one.

vote-for3vote-against

@jsimsace: Yes, DirecTV. Just saw another one. I'm not making this up - "Don't fall into a dinner party."

DirecTV customers be advised: your TV provider thinks you are a dumbass.

those directv ones are awesome... "don't re-enact scenes from platoon in your living room with charlie sheen!"

worst ones are any of the sheyster attorneys advertising for class actions settlements... mesothelioma, bad drugs, etc.

@durkzilla: And you always have the "Don't be a homeless person" and "Don't be a cathoarder" ones. I mean, seriously, do other people find this stuff funny? Thanks for the vent.

Chevy. They have a commercial where the salespeople are debating whether the name of the car is pronounced "Eco" or "Echo"...instant mute, every time. I don't tend to listen to commercials anyway, I skip past them, but if I'm distracted and the commercials come on, that one makes me find the remote and terminate it.

Seriously? Do they think they're going to sell a lot of cars with a commercial that's just completely annoying? Chevy, fire your ad agency.

Every jewelry store commercial on the planet. They all more or less imply that women can be bought with (very expensive) baubles.

There's one that kinda makes me smile, even though that was not it's intent. I was at the mall and walked past a jewelry store where there was a sign in the window that said something like: "Tell her that this is how you see her." It was a display of Jane Seymour's collection, though I did not know that at the time. I looked at the pendants and thought: "How he sees her? As in Little Boobs/Big Butt? Then I spent ten seconds wondering whether the pendant could be hung upside down for the "Dolly Parton" look. It was a few weeks later when I saw the commercial and found out the design was supposedly a couple of open hearts. Oh. I still like my interpretation better, and it makes the commercials a lot more entertaining.

Geico. From that annoying pig to the played out gecko, I just mute them when they come on now. I also hate the hopper commericals from DirecTV. Masshole accents are annoying. Also that KFC ad where the kid and grandpa fight over what side they want.

progressive with that stupid flow lady.. There was a survey a while ago and she was the most noticeable spokesperson but also the most disliked and I agree.

I hate 'em all, especially the ones that yell at me. Stupid car salesmen touting the virtues of whatever it is (I've muted it, or changed the station, before I know much beyond that). Moronic cheap furniture stores with their SALE!!! BUY NOW!!! attempts to convince me that I should come in, right now, before the prices change. As if.

Fake spokespersons that pretend to be on the consumer's side (I'm looking at you, big oil, "clean coal" and others). Drug companies that push next year's fodder for the ambulance chasers. You know, first it shows up in all the commercials as the latest miracle, and then it shows up in the shyster adverts in class action law suits.

Most of what I see makes me miss dancing cigarettes, and Dinah Shore belting out "See the USA in your Chevrolet..."

Flo should have that Lizard for lunch. Then she should (oh, PLEASE) retire.

Most auto commercials. They never take into account that most people can't afford their product. But the winner right now is the one (name redacted) where the customers are asking for some special, and the salesman says "we have great deals right now" and customer immediately caves.

I watch some shows on Hulu. I think that Hulu must scour the globe for the most annoying commercials. My personal (un)favorite? Cars.com

"Hey baby I want that car. Oh, oh, oh, oooooooh!"

The worst part is they sometimes play the same commercial multiple times in a row.

@purplefeather: the radio version of that is pretty funny. The guy asks his "confidence" where he was when he asked for a raise last year and the "confidence" says (in a sing-songy voice): "I took a personal day!"

It's kinda funny to me at least - for a radio commerical.

I hardly get any commercials, but the one that stuck in my mind was the creepy stalker Burger King with the big plastic head. Peeking in windows, crawling into people's beds. I could never figure out why they thought that would make people want a burger. There are a number of commercials that seem to me to be negatively promoting their product. Hulu commercials are annoying because they run the same ones repeatedly. I think that's the biggest problem with commercials. Very few of them bother me the first ten times. But there's no commercial good enough to withstand 100 or 1000 showings.
