Has "Hollywood" failed to recognize the internet?
I am older, so yes, I remember getting my first color television. Then Beta-Max came along, and also VHS. Laser Disc was introduced, but very few people could afford it.
I remember the reports in the Newspaper (yes a Newspaper) "VHS Recording Will Destroy The Movie Industry."
Hollywood was up in arms. They accused people of stealing because they were taping a movie on TV.
Then, finally, they realized that they could make money by selling the tape a year before it ever came on TV.
I refuse to spend more than 99 cents on a movie download. Firstly, I can get it for free and I am trying to do the right thing. Secondly, no movie should cost $250000000.
Hollywood is failing to recognize their audience.
