argh!! i popped my BOC cherry! woot! just kept clicking and trying stuff over and over, hitting F5 when i got page errors. BTW my IE was not getting past the main woot page, i used chrome and got "tips" at the top right. i.e. go back, can't do that, etc

Really, I guess I owe you - you saved me the time consuming process of starting a new question. HAPPY BIRTHDAY WOOT! I got one too the first path I picked, I'm not sure if it was dumb luck. I'm pretty sure it was, because I forgot it was Woot's birthday (sorry Woot!) but I diligently check the site at 1am when I'm awake, and got very confused when I saw "Woot Quest". I even got to use my free shipping code, so it was a $3 crap, yay :)

YESSS I DID IT FOR ONCE. FREE SHIPPING WAS ONLY A 3 DOLLAR BOC AND I'M SO HAPPY I COULD DIE.

I'M GOING TO PEE MYSELF. AND I DON'T EVEN CARE. I'VE TRIED FOR SO LONG. NOW I CAN FINALLY BE PART OF THE BIG BOYS CLUB ON WOOT. WHOOHOO.

@coolphilip04: I would refrain from dying until AFTER you receive and open the box, or you'll linger as a spirit from regret at not doing so. But feel free to pee all you want, at least it wont be just the warmth of satisfaction alone that spreads all over. :)

@drchops: Oh, man, the snail game. That was just infuriating. I somehow wound up with a level 3 bag, but that was it.

I like these choose your own adventures better.

Oh, and Woot, adding the random string at the end of the URLs was a good move. In the past I've seen others post that they just go through incrementing the numbers at the end of the URL until they find the BOC's page. You're a clever 7-year-old.

@anotherhiggins: now your 4 week old daughter needs her own account. consider it an investment in her future when woot and amazon run the world on just electrolytes :)

@drchops: Don't think that I don't have a heart. I, too, paused and pondered, "Should I really take 2 BOCs? Is that fair to the other 'players'? I've been just barely missed out so many times and I'll probably be putting someone else in that position....."

Then I looked down and realized that my hands got tired of waiting and had already ordered the damned thing. Suck it, Timmy; no gift for you this year.

And thanks! Actually this is our second. We have a 2 1/2 year old daughter who alternates between being a very proud big sister and insisting that she, too, is a baby.

Oh, and - I LOVE this part - for reasons completely unknown to anyone but her, my 2.5 year old insists on calling the baby "Robot". She started calling her that about 2 months before her sister was born and shows no sign of stopping. How badass a nickname is that??
