Why was my free Kindle books deal deleted?
I just listed a deal for free Kindle books; the link went to this site. The deal was deleted. There is a similar deal that links to an Amazon page that shows a named customer's list of books. Why is that one okay, & my deal that went to a site that simply lists free K books not okay?
Wondering why my deal was deleted? Is there a problem w/the website that I listed? Did I say something wrong in the listing?
Please help me. :-(

woot is a amazon partner dont forget, and the books you linked to is amazon kindle books. bad for business if they take that down, i've never heard of the website that you posted, maybe woot thought it was fishy?
@drsilentg: Thanks for answering, appreciate it! Nothing fishy about the site - it's been around for a couple of years. The site itself is mentioned, almost daily, on the Amazon Kindle Discussion board. Certainly not bad for Amazon's business at all! In fact it enhances them because it sends people to Amazon for free books & they end up buying books.
Am wondering if the mods thought it wasn't a "deal," per se. But then why would the other one I mentioned be a "deal."
@inkycatz @thunderthighs @jumbowoot Please advise. Pretty please?
May I repost the deal? If not, help me to understand what was wrong w/it.
To everyone else: Sorry to post this in the Questions forum; didn't know of any other way to get an answer.
Just noticed mine was gone as well (closing in on 80 votes).
My self-worth is plummeting.
We do not allow links to other aggregators.
You should use links that land on the product page of the item you are posting.
In this case, the Amazon product page.
@drunkcajun: Well, crap! Did NOT think that would happen. So sorry! I guess you were hit by 'friendly fire.' Sure wish we could get a reason for this.
@gmwhit: Perhaps you just haven't seen the comment above yet?

You posted at about the same time. I think I knew this rule (the one that Ms Katz just pointed out), but have been trying to dig it up out of the vast, dark cavern that is my memory.
It'll get better, I swear. It's only Monday.
That explains that. Thank you,oh mighty bwana.
@inkycatz: Just saw your response. Thank you very much. Do not believe that the site is an aggregator in the true sense. It's a site that only lists free ebooks available on Amazon. No kickbacks to the site. @drunkcajun's Amazon listing isn't really to an aggregator either. Is it?
Trying hard to understand this... For instance: If a 40% off deal is posted to a site, but w/o a specific item listed/shown - that's not considered an aggregator, right? It sends you to the web site, and you search for items that interest you.
Probably fighting a losing battle here. Don't mean to be a PITA, but the link I listed would be VERY valuable to Kindle owners. Would also stem the 1 by 1 listings on deals.woot. Listed on the site are 2600+ free Kindle books. Does deals.woot suggest that EACH one of those should/could be listed as INDIVIDUAL deals?
@gmwhit: If you want to post a listing of free Kindle books, you can use this link...
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_1_11/188-2215567-9619203?url=search-alias%3Ddigital-text&field-keywords=kindle+free+books&sprefix=Kindle+free%2Caps%2C266
That would be acceptable.
For the record, ereaderiq is an Amazon Associate and is getting paid. He is an aggregator just like we are. He has chosen to aggregate Kindle books.
@inkycatz: Cannot thank you enough for the info! I know you did a ton of research on this. Obviously I didn't know they were an aggregator. Very, very sorry. Did know about the link you gave. It's so difficult to use - there are over 46,000 books listed & many are classics/out-of-print books. Great for those who have no idea about them.
As mentioned before, I had hoped to inform Kindle owners of a way to easily find new free books. And to avoid a mass of daily 1 free ebook listings on deals.woot. The link I listed (bad gmwhit!!) only shows current (2,690) books - those that are newer books & recent freebies. It's updated every hour.
Again, my apologies and many thanks to you for your clear explanations & patience!
P.S. So wish that woot had become an aggregator for Kindle books! :-D
@gmwhit: kindle.woot.com... Has a nice ring to it.
