What is the best camcorder value for shooting sports in HD?

best value? I'd say to grab one of the Flip Mino's that has been on Woot recently. If we're talking about water-sports, then i would sugest one of the Kodak water-proof ones

i was considering the countour cam mentioned in the 2nd link, but the reviews were not as good as the Go Pro. understandable given the price savings...

@rabid7: i saw the go pro HD on black friday sales for $199 which is a good deal for it. i think the OP is looking for a zoomable camcorder that would catch fast movement on land, though. :(

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
