How did you feel when you got your black square?

I just took a look and realized I've finally hit my 100th Woot and made it into the Black Square Club! I made my first Woot purchase December 2009 (crappy Digital picture frame) then wandered off again until July of 2010 when I bought 144 of those Kooz bands for my little cousins (that worked out EXACTLY as awesomely as I thought!).

REALLY discovered Woot! again in July 2011 when I started wooting regularly and the rest is history! I'm glad I'm able to support such a great website and retailer. Woot really has something special here. Not because of the great deals or the flashy website, or even the elusive Bandoleers of Carrots. But the way they've brought people together and really given people a sense of community and partnership that differentiates Woot from the rest.

So thank you Woot! for some fun times and my Black Square. I'm looking forward to achieving my Slightly Darker Black Square next!

I am looking forward to eventually reaching the Blacker than Black category. Which means, I ought to get to work on that...

I'm not there yet, it's a double edged sword since you got to buy to get there, so I'm in no hurry! :)

The first time I got my black square (25+), I felt like I belonged to a great community. Then Woot went and stole it from me and added new colors. Now that I have it back (100+) I just feel like I've spent way too much money. Thanks to the changes made at shirt.woot, my spending on Woot is much more controlled.

Strange sense of accomplishment, and shock at my own buying propensities all at the same time.

Once I got over 100, I stopped looking. Thanks for making me shock my own self at 219!

@inkycatz: With or without the black square, I still feel broke. Maybe it's because of all of the Winnie the Pooh Band-Aids I just bought?

Working on it slowly, as I'm a bit...frugal.

Great - like being a popular kid back in school or the "in" crowd. I was there for about a month...

Now, I'm docked back to purple triangle while getting my lunch stolen again by the black triangles.

@kbsig106: (Psssst.....we're talking about squares, not triangles.) As for the OP, when I got mine I was excited, then realized that all it signified was that I had spent a lot of money over the 7 years I've been here.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
