Best Buy screwed up and couldn't route my wife's phone number, now what?
From Best Buy's promotion a while back to upgrade your phone there and get a $50 gift card, we went in to try it out.
On the THIRD trip to Best Buy, I spend close to 2 hours waiting for them as they fumbled around trying to get the phone set up. In the end, they lost her old phone number and couldn't route it onto the new phone. All three of them that were "helping" couldn't fix any of it. There was no apology for screwing up either.
Oh, then they blamed it on me.
Any ideas on how to route her number back to her new Verizon phone? Would Verizon charge for something like that?
Call Verizon immediately and let them know what happened... Do you still have a phone that has the old phone number? If so, they should port it... If some idiot actually released your old number, ... maybe, good luck. The longer you wait to contact Verizon directly to sort this out, the less chance you will have on fixing this.
Doesn't help now but I wouldn't trust the "experts" at Best Buy to change a light bulb.
Definitely call Verizon ASAP.
are you sure they didn't just attach 2 numbers to the phone? let's try it out...go find your wife's phone i'm going to call it
@nkull: Thanks. Called them right away. One phone call = done. Plus the lady was nice. The dudes at Worst Buy were jerks, slow, and didn't know what they were doing.
@fenriq: Oh, the more you trust dumb people the smarter you get to not trust 'em.
