Why use Ask the Wooters section to discuss specific deals rather than posting comments on the deal?

I have noticed a trend that many users are posting questions about specific deals in the Ask the Wooters section rather than commenting on the deal. I am guessing that this is because it seems easier to get the question answered by the community? (plush fuzzy heart slippers question, etc) How could we encourage users to post these deal specific questions on the deal itself?

Bring back the "Stupid" category and move such questions there?

Actually, I haven't seen a trend of asking about posted deals here in the ATW section. The example you cite seems to be attempt to report a perceived bug - something which, I think, does belong here.

Most posts about deals I've seen posted about here have been posted by wooters looking for a deal on a specific item, not a comment on an already-posted deal.

Perhaps add a section for suggested deals? I know that there is an ask form for suggested items for woot to sell on the main page. Maybe if people can "vote" on suggested deals then the deal hunters have a better idea of what the wooters are looking for.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
