What are some ideas for decorating a cubicle?
My cubicle area is pretty roomy, but it's so bland right now. I've heard plants are a good idea, but what else would be neat to have?

woot lights, woot monkeys, USB missile launcher, USB aquarium, meritline cheap flashlights for when the power goes out, and a solar powered plant (everyone will drop by to watch it dance)
5 gallon can of gas and a match goes a long way.

My favourite decoration theme was when I helped get a friend's cubicle - We got a few huge planks of styrofoam and fashioned a castle roof, complete with turrets, made the chair look like a throne, etc... Granted, that was kind of a birthday prank, but it sure looked awesome for a couple of weeks while it was left standing.
Or you could always just put in a mini-fridge: "You could fit a whole six-pack of beee... soda in here!"

Basic stuff - stapler, scissors, pens, etc. - in neon bright colors. This makes it hard for other people to "borrow" your stuff.
Decorate the walls with Woot t-shirts.
I have wallpapered the walls of my cube with layers of drawings/art/notes/photos from my children. It's 5-6 layers deep in places.
The cube playsets are fun.

When I was a cube dweller, I would find a nice paper pattern and cover those gray burlap walls, then rotate collages and pretty pictures, putting up new ones every couple of weeks. Kept me from getting bored with my surroundings. During winter once, I covered the walls of my cube with bright yellow construction paper. People said it was incredibly cheery on those gray Northwest days.
Woot monkeys for sure! Anything else is a bonus.
My foot-high ceramic statues of Pinky and The Brain really brighten my cube up.
