They where probably removed due to the fact that they where fake.

I think the F in Fruper stands for FAKE or FRAUD

They drop ship from dealextreme.com ... fake items, if you want them buy them for the source for less money and free shipping (shipping for them is pure profit)

I've been communicating back and forth with Fruper about RayBans I purchased from them a couple months ago. When I ordered I indicated that I wanted a certificate of authenticity, they said I would get one. The glass arrive and lo and behold, no certificate. I tell them this and they immediately refund my money and give me a 25 dollar gift certificate to their store. Then they hiked the price on the site from 40 to 150 dollars. Through the emails they maintained (and still do) that the sunglasses are legitimate. That being said, I took them to a friend who has worked as a RayBan retailer for 17 years and she told me they were fake.

Long story short, Fruper should not be trusted. I hope others can learn from this.

Damn well too late, I order them on February 9th and haven't received them yet so I emailed the company. Thanks for the information though. To be honest, if they're fake, they are really good fakes and I wouldn't mind buying really good fakes for $30 because I can't afford real ones for $115. I'll keep you posted.

@ryancooke: They are definitely sturdy and good fakes. My RayBan selling friend told me that if I had come in to the store and talked to one of her workers, they probably would have told me they were real, however there were a few very subtle things she indicated were not correct. The first being the greenness of the lenses is different, and also the stamps on the inside of the temple are too vivid, and inconsistent with the Wayfarers she had on display. Initially I thought she was being overly picky, but the last indication was that, if you look at the hinges when they're folded, the plastic where the temple meets the frame looks like it's been shaved down while the other Wayfarers showed no such indication.

I'd just say wait and see. They told me that it was irregular for the glasses to come without paperwork of any kind. I'd be interested to know what all you get in your box when it arrives.

@iraedorum: Yeah a part of me knew it was too good to be true but I've been looking into getting Ray Bans for a while. I'll let you know if I get any paperwork in my box. It'd be interesting if they do send paperwork saying they are real when they really are fakes.

wowwwwwwwwwwwww this is unfortunate. I ordered my "Ray Bans" on Feb 7 and have yet to receive a response to my customerservice@fruper.com email and have not received my glasses.

@connorbush: Same here dude! Haven't heard anything from them yet they took my money the same day I ordered. You emailed them too asking where the hell they were?

Have either of you guys heard anything back from Fruper?

I know it's a late post, but I ordered a pair of RayBans from them in April and now being May I emailed them regarding my purchase and received a response telling me that my glasses would arrive in 2-4 weeks from China?

After seeing this thread I am now definitely regretting my purchase through Fruper...
