Will u choose a job paying you the same money as your before job?
Hi,would you choose a new job which pays the same as your previous job one year ago?
(You need to find a new job urgently to support yourself.You have your own business, you need time for it.In this case, would you choose a job(very free) as I said?)
@tiamat114: I just came off of a three year project working for Teletech. They have several projects for phone operators, customer service and technical support, all based here in the United States. http://hirepoint.com/ if you're interested.
Two other great sites for work-from-home companies, http://workplacelikehome.com/ and http://wahm.com/. Both are message boards, mainly dominated by stay-at-home moms looking to make some part-time income, but always referrals to legit companies and not crap/scam jobs.
@wootgirl Wow, thank you for such a helpful and informative post, I'll be sure to check those links out ASAP!
@kentme: Isn't the answer obvious? If you are unemployed, pardon, self employed and you urgently need a job to support yourself, you need to rethink your business strategy.
Take the job, I'm tired of your butt being on the dole.
@tiamat114: since you're considered disabled, there are companies that take advantage of federal tax credits for hiring disabled workers, former prisoners, welfare recipients, etc
i know at least one previous employer of mine would claim credit for former prisoners who they hired on. (i think that was a temp agency)

i think you can start at your state employment agency. see if they'll work with you to setup a convenient meeting. you can also look on your own, and try woot too! IMO small businesses would benefit the most from claiming the credit, so if they offer telecommuting spots you can attend meetings on skype, IM with them, and remote into their servers

good luck! hope you feel better..
@90mcg112: I read your comment like this. No make me spammer. (as you would have written it as the OP in broken English defending the question.
(this is the evils of top 3 posts), I try to read them in order but some slip by. Either way it is a great answer, twice!
OP: Are you a small business owner, or unemployed? If unemployed, duh, you aren't going to make more money after a year of being unemployed. If a small business owner, how successful have you been? If you need cash, you might be out of options anyway.
@wootgirl I can't really travel, while I am capable of driving my car, after just a few minutes it gets very painful, the on time I used the highway to visit my grandparents after only a 15m trip at 60mph I had to pull over and take a short rest. It really sucks. I'm also restricted to only lifting up to 20lbs (any weight though flares my back tbh) and minimal bending and stretching so the only job I can possibly take is a desk job which my insurance has recommended as well.
@tiamat114: that sucks, i hope you find something you like soon. i've been between projects at my company before, basically not going IN to work. i end up staying up all night watching tv and sleeping all day while doing home projects between sleep and wake
look on craigslist to see if there are any gigs or jobs you are interested in. or volunteer someplace close, i know libraries and pet shelters are always in need, even to hold the animals a few hours. also depending on what county you're in, there are skill learning programs where people can take classes for leisure. can you travel?
btw, @thunderthighs and others work from home. it's possible but you'd need to apply officially http://www.woot.com/jobs.aspx#DealHunter
@wootgirl Right now I have no job and am considered disabled, but I would like a job. Not having a job isn't nearly as fun as you might think. I've been disabled for a year now and I am going out of my mind crazy bored having nothing to do all day. Be careful what you wish for. :(
I keep hoping woot implements a work from home position, I spend most of my day here anyway.
@90mcg112: You owe me a new keyboard. :-D
[Edit] Amazingly, someone voted this question up. Couldn't have been the idiot poster, since they've purchased a grand total of ZERO woots (what a surprise). I'll just be glad when all the East Coast traffic builds back up to normal. It's just weird to see the Fresh tab down by 20% or more.
I have done that - the atmosphere and people are very important, as is the work and your ability to function independently.
i would choose no job at all, but still insist on being paid the same as my previous job one year ago
@kentme: No, make me. Spammer.
@kentme: It would be nice if it made any sense...
Answer: "Yes, u shud choose a job."
@kentme: Are you asking if one should switch jobs for the same pay? That is really up to you. Are they different occupations? Do you like or dislike your current coworkers? I don't think anyone here could really answer that for you. But, I'll try...yes, you are lucky to have a job at all.
@90mcg112: Just answer this question.
Would this job happen to be spamming people with links to overpriced lasers?
