I rarely check here on the weekends, which are Fri, Sat and Sun for me.
Nope. Not for a very long time. I even make sure to take my laptop on the few vacations I've been on to be able to hit deals.woot.
Took a three month break once, that was interesting. However, for the moment anyway I'm pretty active here on the weekdays and I'm also one of those weekend warriors. Still getting burned out though, might just be time for another break.
I just have recently not been able to check it so much and I have noticed that I am saving all kinds of money :)
Never again! The withdraw was too much to handle.
January entirely had no activity from me. I had a black triangle with a score of 99.98 (or something close). In February, my triangle started out purple with a score of 83. With just a couple up-votes on good deals, posting one deal, and commenting on questions, I'm now a black triangle again.
Losing that triangle was too much stress to bear. I'll do my best to keep my participation to deals.woot going forward. This is if I can continue working from home. The moment I have to go into an office, the company will probably put a stop to my internet activities.
Judging by my track record of posting the reckoning stats every night (at shirt.woot) ... the most I've been away was a day.
Addiction? NAH!
my spouse says i go into withdrawal after a few hours. but if i can stay busy i try not to be hear all the time...
I took about two weeks off in January, due to being on vacation in Israel. I was surprised that my black triangle didn't go away.
Now I'm more active during the week than on the weekends, but I still check in at least once a day.
It really depends on what other "projects" I have going on in my life. If I am really into researching something I will still check on the Woot.Family! of sites, but it is rare that I contribute much.
It's been a very long time since I've failed to check in on my Woot! sites. I have overwhelming days (more lately!) when I can't scan all of my bookmarked deal sites, but I have a handful of "must check" pages, and Woot! sites are at the top of the list. (I actually resorted my deal bookmarks into subfolders by priority so I can check a handful of "Best" sites first, then down the scale depending on time.) I don't always have time to post or comment, or even to vote, but I at least dash over and check the top deals. My OCD demands it!
Having said that, I fear that I will soon have to curtail my Wooting, as well as my posting. Tomorrow we will hear the initial plans to shut down my agency and, as HR Director, I will be too caught up in laying off perfectly good employees while their jobs are sent out of state. I will probably be out of a job, myself, by the end of June. Probably not a good time to spend money.
I sometimes wish I could post more and spend more time here, but more often than not, life and work get in the way. I always at least check out the woot daily email for deals.
I am totally in that time right now. I didn't think that I was going to be able to find a question to involve myself in, thanks for asking.
