All of them - but if I had to pick one, I'd go with Tiny Dancer.

Have a blast at the concert!!!

Just found out that a local radio station is hosting a pre-concert party so I started getting ready extra early! Bubble bath and Fleur de Sel Salted Milk and Dark Chocolate Covered Caramels! Geez! Back in high school I would have been happy with a shower and a Snickers bar! Of course, back then it wouldn't have required quite as much makeup to make me presentable either.

Hmmmm. Wonder if I can still squeeze into my yellow bell-bottom hip-hugger jeans and crop top. No. Some things are best left in the 70s.

Elton John is on my bucket list of concerts to see!

@blgauthier: Wow! So excited you posted it twice! LOL!

I've been lucky enough to see him 3 times. Once at the Pyramid in Memphis, once in Little Rock (he was the first performer to play in the Alltel Arena) and once in Las Vegas during his Red Piano tour. I have all of his music and three autographs. I guess you could say I'm a pretty big fan!

I love all of his music but one that always moves me is "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me".

And the entire Captain Fantastic album.

And the entire Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album

and....

@belyndag: I envy you. I hate you! I envy you. Enjoy the concert!

vote-for10vote-against

The first time I saw him perform was back in the 70's. I've seen him several times since then, the latest a while back on one of his tours with Billy Joel. All of his concerts were great - he's quite a performer!

"Don't Let Your Son Go Down On Me"

@belyndag: We want a full report tomorrow!

Laughing like children, living like lovers
Rolling like thunder under the covers
And I guess that's why they call it the blues...

Sigh...Have fun!! Take pics if you can!!

@robingraves: In fact, I think he'd rather prefer that to happen. Just sayin' ;->

@dealseekerdude: Are you old enough to remember Br'er Rabbit and the Briar Patch? :)

I couldn't give you a favorite elton john song| (not because i don't listen to him, just because i never know the name of any of his songs) but I am insanely happy for you. It's such a great feeling to see a band you love that much. I hope you're enjoying the show/enjoyed the show and it was everything you wished it would be and more!

Edit: Also:
@hizzo87: About three years ago i had to print up a sign at work that says: NO CROCODILE ROCK. EVER! not because it's a terrible song, it's great. it's just so damn catchy one of us would start whistling it and then it would get stuck in both of our heads all day long

vote-for4vote-against

@robingraves: I remember reading the book as a young'un; why do you ask?

vote-for3vote-against

@dealseekerdude: He was asking to not get thrown in the briar patch when that was really what he wanted. See previous.

The concert was wonderful! Sir Elton entered the stage just at 8:00 and never stopped performing until 10:30! Amazing! The man turned 66 on Monday!

He opened with one of my personal favorites, "The Bitch is Back." I recorded it, but am hesitant to post the video as the quality sucks. Operator error abounds. Our seats were about halfway up behind the stage and to one side. Elton was about 50 yards away from us. The show was entirely Elton playing piano and singing. No opening acts, no pyrotechnics, just pure Elton. His voice might not be what it once was as he played around a bit and avoided most of the higher notes, but it was still strong and he seemed to be enjoying himself (always important to me in a performance!). He played around with the audience a good bit, too, and kept saying how much he appreciated the fact that he could still be doing this after all these years. He sang a few things I didn't know, but I suspect they are new.

-continued-

He is supposed to have a new album coming out in a few months. He sang one favorite after another. Every time I would think that he was about finished and I just hope he would still sing Crocodile Rock and Your Song. Then he was sing another that I had just forgotten about. Wow!

He finished up with Crocodile Rock at about 10:30 and left the stage. Only came back for one encore, but made a point of spending about 10 minutes signing autographs before closing with Your Song. Beautiful. Here is the best close-up I could get, although it is blurry. He looks pretty darn good for 66, especially compared to most rockers! Wonderful time! Wish you could all have been there watching me make a fool of myself! Well, maybe not.

You lucky lady! It sounds like it was a fabulous show, and worth waiting for.

My favorite song is Amoreena; did he play anything off of Tumbleweed Connection?

@mossygreen: Nothing that I recognized from that album. There were three songs I didn't know, and the style was a bit different, so I thought they might be from his upcoming album.

Great time! I'm tuned into my Elton John Pandora station now. Can't get enough!
