I've never seen/heard/thought of that... But sounds fun. Maybe I will buy something on BF this year just for the tailgating :p

@gregorylikescheapstu: This was at the Best Buy last year in Panama City, FL.... People started lining up at 6PM the day before waiting 12 hours to get their Big Screen TV or Laptop "coupon" ..

by the time I got in the store, there was a line of people clear around the store along the walls for laptops. The other lines went quicker and were only 15-20 people-long, but the Laptop line was a good 100 or so people

Someone went to Dunkin and got a bunch of us coffee while we were on line once. Does that count?

According to the ad scans - Best Buy is the place to line up this year - they are giving a 9pm screening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt 2 at select locations.

Uh oh! Age showing...tailgating, to me, means following the vehicle in front of you too closely. Okay, I admit that I do know the newer meaning... has a lot to do w/football games, BEER and BBQ, right?

Tailgating, no. Catering trucks pulling into the parking lot and setting up shop for 30 minutes, definitely!

BTW, 6pm the day before is nothing. Try 6pm on Tuesday. Yeah, some folks really have nothing better to do ...

I've not seen tailgating, but there are kids walking around the lot selling breakfast burritos and hot chocolate...

I have no interest in doing that. Half the fun of tailgating is the beer, and I have a feeling that a combination of alcohol and a lack of sleep is discouraged in public

@baqui63: Me either. More than 3 people is a crowd to me. ;-)

@gmwhit: unless lingerie is involved ;)

@thormj: ::snicker:: Actually in that case more than 2's a crowd to me. But, whatever....

I have mostly gone to Walmart for BF I can't remember ever waiting outside a store so I would not have seen any of those things except people watching movies on cell phones or playing games.

I will be inviting friends over and making Thanksgiving leftover po boys while pouring mimosas and bloody marys. At home.

Do people realize with the time and effort spent sitting on a curb they could just go to work and make more than they would be saving on these deals?

nope, I stay home and get reports from my wife who usually ventures out
