Have you had the flu this season?
Did you get a flu shot? We have 3,600 cases reported by doctors in my city, and who knows how many people actually sick. A 12 year old girl died of it last night. Half the people I know are sick. I got a flu shot and have been reasonably careful and have avoided it so far. Some of the people I know who got it had their flu shots and are having a milder case than those who didn't get the shot. Just wondering how it's going for folks in other cities.
They're saying the flu is a problem in my city. I haven't seen it yet; I don't know of anybody who has gotten sick, and as far as I know nobody at my office has been out sick with the flu. The only pandemic I've seen so far is on the news. Maybe I'm lucky.
I had it last week. Pretty much everyone around me has been sick. I missed a couple days of school, but I think I'm about over it. It was not fun.
I am pretty sure I had it already this year. The flu never really hits me very hard. The only time I ever had it checked was years ago when my GF was scheduled for a surgery and needed me to get it treated to lessen the likelihood of giving it to her and forcing a postponement of her surgery. As someone who lives with allergies where congestion and sinus headaches are SOP a couple extra symptoms don't make a big difference.
no flu in our household. my wife and i both had our flu shots (mainly because of the small child in our house). i keep hearing things on the radio that this season will be pretty bad. i'm pretty careful to stay far away from anyone that looks like they might be sick. however, our office is a breeding ground for illness. so, it might just be a matter of time.
Apparently this year is the absolute worse for the Flu, which makes sense since everyone around me is getting sick. I actually heard my auntie was sent to the ER a couple nights ago due to severe flu symptoms.
Areas in red are where the flu has been bad.

I think I was hit with the flu in late December, it was the absolute worse symptoms ever. At one point I couldn't move my muscles at all. I also had a flu shot a couple weeks ago and even the side effects of it made me a bit sick overnight (I recovered the next day).
Just saying. I've also heard that February is the peak month for the Flu season.
One of my coworkers said that his wife was just diagnosed with the flu despite getting the shot. And it turns out it's one of the strains that was in the vaccine this year.
I'm planning on avoiding his cube as much as possible and washing may hands a bit more diligently.
I have not received the flu shot in a long time. I have never had the flu for as long as I can remember.
This year is no different. Still not flu. I always get the cold a couple times, but that's it!
Looks like I'm in one of the heavy states above and I did not get a flu shot. No cold/flu here yet. :::knocks on wood:::
No flu shot, no flu, no common (or uncommon) cold. Go fish.
So far, I've remained healthy!
But, I am anal retentive about washing my hands, they are actually chapped pretty badly because of it. I hope to stay healthy this year, with a high-deductible insurance plan, visiting a doctor is not on my list of things I can afford.
Had the flu shot and really hoping if I get one of those strains, it'll be a light case. Hoping I don't get any of the other flu strains and really hoping I don't get that gastrointestinal thing that's going around.
Did not get the flu. Also did not get the shot. Make of that what you will.
I avoided it! (Thus far)
