How much did you pay for your Lasik eye surgery procedure?

Did you pay for the best technology and most extensive plan? Did you go with a lesser price plan that still had very good results? I’m very bad at paying more unless there is proven results of a better product, but this is my vision! There is no data to should that the $2100 cost per eye treatments produce better results with less complications then the $700 dollar treatments quoted for my uncomplicated planned procedure.

I paid $4800 total 5 years ago....

I had mine done in January of 2000, and it was around $4000. There weren't any options back then in the way of pricing or different types of procedures. I remember it included a computer model of the eyes and any post-op needs, including a couple of follow-up appointments to make sure it all went well.

Mine was $3500, performed by a highly recomended surgeon He was so good with my eyes that Tiger Woods decided to use him as well. Or, at least he went there way after I did.

Make sure your quote includes follow-up visits as you'll be seeing the doctor frequently right after surgery and for at least the next several months.

My surgery was long enough ago that the glasses I haven't had to buy over the last several years would have cost more than the surgery. Best thing I ever did.

Whatever you go with, I hope it works out great for you. I wish I could afford laser eye surgery. I've had glasses all my life and would love not to need them anymore.

I'm not sure if I got a bargain or what, but mine was only $1800, in 2003. best $1800 I've ever spent in my life too, as my contact lenses through high school and college were always a pain in the ass. I would have considered the surgery worth it even if it was 10 times what I paid.

Mine was about $4500 and done by the same doctor who does the Forty-Niners players. I would do it again in a heartbeat as it has been absolutely life changing for me.

@rhmurphy: I did not have to go back in to the office after mine. I was told I could if I experienced problems but I had zero problems and have not needed any check ups.

Mine cost me $1300 total back in 2000. I went to Sherbrooke, Quebec Canada to get mine done. I have to say it's the best money I've ever spent.
