With the passing of Davey Jones today, I got to thinking about the poster I had on my walls growing up and the posters my sister had hanging up too.

As a boy, I had a NY Jets and NY Mets Pennants and the famous Farah poster and I might have had a bunch of girls bent over washing a corvette.
But I know my kid sister had Davey Jones, David Cassidy and a couple of teen hearthrobs up there.

I had John Travolta, Vince Van Patten and Leif Garret posters. Until I saw "Rocky", then Sylvester Stallone took the place of honor on the ceiling above my bed.

I actually had a HUGE crush on Davey Jones back in the day. I ordered a Davey Jones puppet from the back of a cereal box when I was about 8-9 years old.

I had a Spider-Man poster along with two Corvette posters that I got at the Corvette museum in Bowling Green, KY. I currently have another Spider-Man poster that my uncle drew for me of the time that Spider-Man actually mutated into a spider, a hat rack with the Twisted Sister symbol painted on it along with the words "I Wanna Rock!" (also done by my uncle), and a framed piece of paper in which my first concert ticket was printed out (Motley Crue's Carnival of Sins tour in Antioch, TN).

When I was little I had a Mark Paul Gosselaar one, but that's the only thing I can remember. I wouldn't have bought it myself, but my cousin got it for me, and I mean, he wasn't bad looking, and I DID like Saved By The Bell, so up it went.

I now have a ton though. My husband and I have up a ton of gaming posters in the gaming room, and tons of bands (OK Go, Skunk Anansie, Feeder, Muse, and a few record flats from others) in the bedroom.

New Kids On The Block as a child :)

Now as an adult we have, Labyrinth movie poster, LOTR, Gone With The Wind, True Blood, Dexter, Legend of the Seeker and Army of Darkness. I'm happy to be an adult so I could frame them so they look a lot better than thumb tacks!

As a kid I had all kinds of hardcore band posters. Minor Threat, The Exploited, Danzig, etc.. I gave them, along with the cassettes, to my step-son when he was 14 (now 21).

Now I have antique maps, some reproduction paintings like Matisse and Degas along with photos from all around the country that my husband and I have taken while hiking.
